Jaxom! The two heard a voice from further down the trail shout. Into view came a woman with fairy wings, and next to her a black unicorn walked.

Jaxom, we are glad you are back. How are things going on the outside? The fairy asked as she came to the horses side.

Not so well. Iris and Yama, this is Nen. Nen, this is Iris, he pointed to the fairy, And this is Yama. He said the last name as he pointed to the unicorn.

Oh no, youre hurt Jaxom! She waved the unicorn over to them. She put the reins to the horse into Yamas mouth.

Here Yama will take you to the healer. Nen, why dont you come with me, Iris said and she held out her hands to Nen. Nen accepted and gratefully slid off the horse. Yama led Jaxom down the trail, leaving Iris and Nen alone.

So, where do you come from? Iris asked pleasantly.

Nowhere

You have no home? She waited for Nen to nod her head before continuing. Come with me then, we can find you a place to live. Many people come here seeking places to stay. Iris took Nens arm and led her down another trail, one that she had not seen when they had first come here.

Is there any particular kind of environment you would like to live in? Nen remembered the photo she had in her book, the photo of her green sanctuary. She pulled the photo out of the book and handed it to Iris.

Her face lit up. I know the perfect place! Iris grabbed Nen's hands and pulled her down the trail. It did not take them long to reach a small clearing.

Nen looked around the small forest clearing, marveling at the beauty of it all. The white trees stood tall, gracefully touching the sky. Strands of ivy climbed around the ground and up the trees, making Nen almost laugh. The grass beneath her feet was lush and thick, and sprung back up after she stepped upon the blades. Instead of the stone path like in the picture, a small stream meandered through the clearing.

So, I can stay here, she said to Iris.

Yes, but only under one condition. Nen turned to Iris, meeting her gaze as she wondered what it could possibly be.

Iris smiled and said, You will have to share this home with a dragon!

Nen smiled and shook her head, not needing words to express her feelings. She held the photo of her old life in her hands, glad that this new world touched the old in one way. She would try her best to take in the dragon, and raise it, and finally be happy in her world.
