You stand in a small forest clearing, many paths going out in all directions. Many paths to take, but only one decision to make. You quickly scan all of the paths, wondering which one is the best one to take. And one does catch your eye. The path is barely discernable because of the grass growing all over it. The path is the least taken care of from all of the ones before you. So, you decide to walk along this path.
Stepping onto the path you find that not only grass is covering the trail. Small bushes are also beggining to wear down the lines of the path. And as you walk, the grass crunching beneath your feet, you find that even the trees are making the path smaller and less easy to see. Soon the path is barely a whisper of a thread, making it easy for you to get lost.
But soon the path ends, leaving you without a place to go. You stare about the forest walls around you, unsure of your next step. You turn around, thinking of going back to the forest clearing and starting on another path. But when you turn, you find that the path has dissapeared all together, leaving you now alone in the forest.
Maybe not entirely alone... Far off you can hear the high notes of a flute playing. So, there is someone else here... You turn in the direction of the music and walk with speed. The sun is high in the sky, shining brightly down onto you and the plants about you. A slight breeze stirs the leaves above you, adding to the music playing ever so faintly in your ear. You hurry along the forest, trying to catch the music that still seems so far away.
Eventually the forest ends, abrubtly. Before you a clearing stretches out, wide and far. You walk slowly into it, looking in all directions. The clearing is strange though, everything in it is a deep red color, even the plants and the small stream running through it. And in the center you find a small red dragon, playing in the waters.
"Uhm, hello," You say hesitantly. The dragon looks up at you for a few moments before crawling out of the small stream.
"Hello stranger, I am Yami. What are you doing in my home," the small hatchling dragon says with what can only be authority. The small dragon takes a defensive stance, but only makes him look silly. The dragon is much to young to make anything scared, yet.
"Do you know where that music is coming from?"
"Oooh! I know! The music is coming from my gaurdian. She is currently off elsewhere, tending to a new home and all for another dragon. I'll take you to her!" The small red dragon ambles into the forest, expecting you to follow. So you do.
Yami soon finds the both of you another trail, leading to where you do not know. But soon Yami and you end up at your destination. Another clearing, not too far away from the one before, and the music is coming straight out of it. You walk into the clearing, and it takes you a while to get situated once again.
The sun shines through the open canopy, giving warmth to the forest around and the ground below. Grass covers every inch of the clearing, except where a small stream trickles through. Flowers of all kinds grow around the clearing, giving scents of fragrance coming from all directions. Not only does the place look wonderful, but smells wonderful too.
And in the center of it all is a green nest, and sitting next to it a small elf playing the flute. The elf sees you and stops playing, and looks at the two of you.
"Hello," she says to you while Yami curls up in her lap. "Get lost?" You nod your head and she only smiles.
"Well, this is the home I have created for a bibble dragon. I hope that the new dragon and Yami will be friends, so have taken on the job of watching both." You nod and look around the pretty clearing.
