Steve "Popmonkey" Bees is our lead guitarist. He is married to Sally and has 3 daughters, Elizabeth and Rachel, and new arrival named Jessica!
He has his own set of backing singers now!

He has been playing guitar for 14 years after an impulse buy saw him swapping his keyboard for a guitar and starting his first band, Crisis, playing anything that only involved 3 chords or less!! Things went quiet on the performance front for a while, although he kept himself busy producing backing tracks on his sequencer. In late '97, he resurrected the Crisis name, this time as a duo performing rock and pop. Before Fahrenheit, Steve played in the short lived, but popular SortEd, playing mostly Britpop.

Musically, Steve likes anything, but particularly rock and blues, with a bit of disco thrown in. Steve's current on-stage setup is either his Fender Contemporary Telecaster or newly acquired Yamaha Pacifica 604w, with another on order, through a Zoom 3030 FX unit and into an 80 watt Marshall Valvestate amp. He has also been seen weilding a Heartfield Talon and a 50's Strat. Steve has a passion for silly hats, drinking beer and dancing like a loon, hence the nickname.
