It's like they say folks.... It's one thing to hate him, but it's another thing to beat him. That man is Steve Spurrier. I personally think he is the Barry Switzer of the 90's. You will ask, what warrants him to be in the same catagory as the King? Well I'll tell you this much, The man flat out can coach. Switzer proved a long time ago that he could. Barry revolutionized the offensive formation the Wishbone. Steve revolutionized the Fun N' Gun. These men have One other thing that makes them alike. They both never shy away from a battle, and they are not afraid to challenge the sacred cows of college football. Barry had Darrell Royal, just as Steve has the whole country basically. You know what they both do? They simply back it up on the field. I know Spurrier makes a lot of comments about other teams and coaches. This makes him a focal point for people to concentrate on him. While teams are trying to prove coach Spurrier wrong, his team is likely whipping the tar out of whoever they are playing on any given Satruday. Spurrier also has done something for OU that should at least soften our hearts a little. It is his high powered offensive passing attack that has influenced Bob Stoops to take a look at it. Hence he hired Mike Leach, because he knew how hard it is to defend a team that fires the ball around more than a basketball motion offense. Knowing that Spurrier is a man who doesn't shy away from telling it as he sees it. We should all embrace him by a cardinal saying in the Sooner Nation "It's hard to be Humble when you are a Sooner" So he isn't a Sooner, he just acts like one. I truly do not feel any compassion to the SEC, but I am at least in a small portion a fan of this man and his football teams from now on. I say it now " Don't you ever change coach Spurrier, and all the best until My Sooners lock up with you, cause we are gonna rip ya a new one on the field." Thanks, FAH
