As to I havent personally read this book, am planning on it however. I did get to see her speak and read some from Cunt and it was one of the most amazing talks that I have heard.
The Good Body ~ Eve Ensler
Wow, another powerful book by this woman. If you are not the size 3 perfect skinny-type and heck even if you are read this book. Great thoughts about bodies and how we obsess over them and perceve them.
Sci-fi/Fantasy
The Anita Blake Vampire series ~Laurel K Hamilton
A good mystery type series. If you like vampires, romance, mystery and action not to mention a bit of smut this is the series for you. Hamilton creates a world that is easy to get yourself lost in complete with people that you cant help but find yourself coming to love.
The Great Book of Amber ~ Roger Zelazny
An awsome setting complete with a family that frankly I am glad I'm not in but enthralled by none the less. The story of Amber and Chaos in one big book (origionally a series of 10 books) is not only worth reading but is quite a bit cheaper in this complete form.
The Pillars of the World (and the next 2 books) ~ Anne Bishop
This trilogy is about the fae and their interactions with our world, another of Anne Bishop's amazing works this trilogy isn't as well known as the Black Jewel Trilogy (also amazing) but definately just as well written and engaging of a world.
The Black Jewel Trilogy ~ Anne Bishop
If you like fantasy read this trilogy. Anne Bishop did an amazing job creating this world and the people. Everything from the social interactions to the 3 different worlds and the exact method to travel between them create a place easy to loose yourself in. Not to mention engaging charecters that you can't help but come to love this trilogy is a must read.
The Hitchhikers Guide ~Douglas Adams
If you havent read these. Do it. As in now. Douglas Adams is phenomenal and should be in everyones library.
