Nakago Shikkari Shinasai (Hang in there Nakago)

    "actors" are playing the famous characters of Fushigi Yugi on the tv show, and poor Nakago is the new guy. He can't seem to get any lines right and big shot Tamahome is treating him like dirt. Then the director tells Nakago that he should kiss Tamahome like he did Miaka...It's really funny, and poor Nakago after a long hard day of work gets some roses of support from the one and only Watase.... who else.    There is also another hang in there Nakago where they are talking about the sequel to FY and how Nakago hopes he will be in it but is told that only his earring will star in the show... This one is just as cute and funny (read translation here)

  About a girl, Asuka, who is an illegitimate love child who is in search of her father since her mother died. Asuka, who lived in Hokkaido with her mother, moves to Tokyo to look for her father she has never even met before. When she gets to his house, he's not there, only his children who claim they have never met their father either. Asuka decides to stay with her "brother" (Manato) and "sister" (Kazusa) while she looks for their father. Her two "siblings" are living alone and things sort of get complicated when Asuka and her "brother" start to fall for each other (they're not sure whether they're related or not). Sometimes the Manga becomes a bit racy/sexy, but it's all fun and games....

In The FY chat columns she often talks about this work. She started sketching it when she was 14 but didn't make it into a manga for 6 years. It's one of her more cherished works and isn't nearly as racy as some people like to think. Watase loved it so much she did several spin offs, Zoku Shishuni Miman Okotowari and the final one Shishunki Miman Okotowari Kanketsu Hen

    About Mai who is in love with a soccer player from class, Nimura. On her birthday she gets an electronic notebook that has mystical powers. When she entered the word "empotrance" into the notebook by mistake, the computer's genie pops out. You can imagine what fun events happen after that.

Our heroine, Yusura was abandoned under a cherry tree as a baby with nothing but a sword. Now, as a teenager she uses her sword to destroy people's sorrow and push it back on to the person that has caused it. Random fun, adventures and mayhem ensue.

The Manga also comes with a somewhat creepy short manga, that doesn't match the silliness of Appare Jipangu but was placed in it because it had the right number of pages. Houkago Gensou (After School Illusions) is about strange things that happen to people who encounter Sarashina Rei.

Mint De Kiss Me (Kiss Me With Mint)

    There is a legend that says that if you kiss someone with mint in your mouth, then you "become one" with them. So Misono, who is in love with her teacher decides to give it a try. She puts a mint in her mouth and is going to kiss the unsuspecting teacher when he turns the corner. However our heroine, kisses the wrong person by accident and 'becomes one' with a classmate that she hates. She becomes stuck with the boy in his body.
