~Drinking and Driving~
This is a play I had to write for health class at the beginning of seventh grade. Please excuse all of the grammatical and spelling errors which I have left in as being the original. We had to perform this in the front of the room. The lesson was against drinking and driving. *chuckles* My, how times have changed�
Drinking and Driving

Scene 1: Kelly and Jessica on the Phone
Kelly: Hi, Jessica! There is a party at my house, and Amber, Kristy, and Carolyn are gonna be there. You wanna come?
Jessica: Yeah, I'll come, but can I stay over?
Kelly: Okay. Carolyn is stayin' over too.
Jessica: Are Kristy and Amber stayin' over?
Kelly: No. They're going to Kristy's house after the party.
Jessica: Okay.
Kelly: Great!
Scene 2: At Kelly's House
Amber: This is a great party, Kelly.
Kelly: Thanks!
Kristy: I've got a little something that'll make the party even better (take out beers)!
Amber: Ooooo! What a great idea!
Kelly: I don't know about this. My parents aren't home, but we'd get in big trouble if we got caught.
Carolyn: I agree with Kelly. That's not such a good idea.
Jessica: Yeah. We should just put the beer away. We can have a good time without it.
Kristy: Come on guys. It will be great!
Kelly: No. We don't need it.
Carolyn & Jessica: Yeah.
Kristy (Saying snottily)- Come on Amber. Let's go in the back and drink.
Amber (Speaking a little concerned)- Uh, okay.
Scene 3: Three Hours Later
Kelly: Where are Kristy and Amber?
Carolyn: Here they come.
Scene 4: Amber & Kelly Leave
Kristy (Drunk): Come on Amber. Let's go to my house.
Amber (Semi-drunk): Okay.
Kelly: You're leaving already?
Kristy & Amber: Yeah.
Jessica: I don't think you should leave. Maybe you could stay over.
Kristy: No. We have to baby-sit my brother in the morning, and my curfew was at twelve O'clock.
Amber: Yeah. Bye guys.
Scene 5: Kristy (Driving) & Amber In the Car
Amber: Kristy, slow down. You're going tooooo fast.
Kristy: No, I'm not. We're only going 71 MPH. We're almost there.
Amber: Watch out! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!
BOOM!!!
Scene 6: Epilogue
Kelly: Amber and Kristy died in a car accident that night.
Jessica: All because of alcohol.
Carolyn: This play shows what can happen in a drinking and driving situation.
Kelly: This, and other similar situations could have been avoided.
Jessica: Kelly, Carolyn, and I also could have done something, knowing that Amber and especially not Kristy were sober enough to drive.
