Hex your Baby to Walk!

We have a success story! Here is Naomi, hexed to walk by her mommy Melinie!

Have you been waiting for so very long for your favorite little tyke to learn how to walk? Or have you been waiting to learn to hex babyz to walk for your site? Here is your chance! Walkers in a nutshell, get ready, lets hex.

Okay, You'll need a hex editor, if you do not have one go to my babyz hex guide page and follow the first few steps, then return here to learn to hex babyz to walk! You must understand that this is a guideline. Your babyz will all differ a teensy bit in their own individual file. So if it doesn't look exactly like what you see here, that is normal! This is a teensy bit more complicated as well, so don't be discouraged if your first babyz doesn't work.

Now, the first thing you need to do is choose which .baby file you're going to work with and make a copy. When you are hexing a babyz to walk you don't use the BabyzRez.dll file, you use the actual file of the baby you want to hex to walk!

That done, now it's time to open up the babyz file in your hex editor. Not the copy.

The first thing you need to do after that is discover what the "checksum" of your babyz file is. If you do not have Hex Workshop then I don't know exactly how to find out, if you do have Hex Workshop press F12. Click on "Decimal and then click "Generate". You need to note on a peice of paper what it says under "Checksum-8". It can vary from anywhere between 20 and over 200, I've even seen a couple with a checksum as low as 13!

Now that you've discovered the checksum, you can start to work on your babyz file! First thing you do is find this, it is a ways down and in each baby it varies a bit as to how far:

FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8
FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF8
FFFF FFF8 FFFF FFF1 FFFF FFF1 FFFF FFF1

Now, on some babyz there is only one line of FFFF's like this, and on other babyz there are three or four, it just depends. The way you can tell if it is the right set of FFFF's is it is almost always near the diaper. . .you see that on the righthand side. It looks like this:

.......White Diaper.clo........

Now, after you've found that, not far above it you will find the following:

0100 0000 0900

After the 0900 is another 0000. The first set after that next 0000 is the first one you change. I will provide an example below, but it will vary slightly from that of the baby you are working with! Code babyz you usually have to change four numbers. With standers there could be up to 6 or 7 to change. See example:

0100 0000 0900 0000 0100 0000
0400 0000 0400 0000 0700 0000 E5C0

The red 0100 and 0900 are the original ones I have told you to find. The blue numbers are the ones you need to change. This example has been taken from a nearly newborn babyz. So she only has four areas that need to be changed. Change them to "0900"

The numbers that need to be changed, as you can see, are every other set after the 0100 0000 0900 to the set that isn't a 0?00 or 0000 set. Like the E5CO above. I know this is confusing! It's hard to create a guide for this because of all of the variants in each baby, but keep trying!

After that you need to go up in the babyz file until you see something similar to this, it will be the first bunch of numbers you see as you scroll upwards

-15 0 0.707107 -0.707107
225 -1 0 -1 -1 -1
0.94 -20 0 0.514496
0.857493 225 -1 0 -1 -1 -1 0.95
-20 0 -0.847998
0.529999 225 -1 0
-1 -1 -1 0

This area is where you go to put the checksum back to it's original number. Check it again, as you did above and see what the diffrence between the original checksum and the checksum at this point is.

What you need to do with these series of numbers is change the last one in each group of numbers to 0. After each time you change a number, check to see if the checksum is to it's original number under the "Checksum-8" area.

Do this until you get to the original Checksum. If you accidentally go below the original checksum, don't worry, just add the amount the checksum needs to go up, to one of the numbers, instead of subtracting.

As soon as the checksum is back to it's original number save and your baby should now be a walking baby! If you go into your game and your baby is not there, try again!

Good luck hexers!
