As anyone who might have talked to me knows- When it comes to Faelon, I take pride in sharing the fact (gloating) that I was the one who came up with the name for his character. For me, this is big. I've never got to name an Elf before. Especially an Elf that is kin to one of the most famous Elves known to movie history.

For that, I have made his own little section of how he came to be. It should have been most obvious, really... He's the one sitting on Elrond's right, and close to Aragorn. Usually, Justin's character was always dubbed "Elrohir" and "No Name". But now, thanks to one fateful day, and some very lovely ladies, this Elf can no longer be kept a secret from us all!
Bwah-hah-hah-haa!!! (that's my pathetic evil laugh...)
I believe there are three key players here.
1. Roheryn - one who had met Bret during the Figwit Lives site's trip to Edinburgh
2. Candice - Me. An obsessed fan, and the one who takes care of the FOF site
3. Vardalon Elentari - Mistress of the Mr. Mysterious Elf site

All of this happened at the Mr. Mysterious Elf site, and it went down like this:

Roheryn - Bit of trivia for you: the Elf that sits on Elrond's right is played by Justin McKenzie, Bret McKenzie's (Figwit's) brother. I thought it funny that they're the only two Elves at the Council who didn't get official names.

Candice - FINALLY!!! I was wondering where/who/what scene/which elf Justin was! Thank you so VERY much! *tackle-pounce* Many, many thanks!

Vardalon - Well, I put Justin's name through the Barrowdowns Name generator and that makes his Elven name Aratwath. What do you guys and girls think of that name? Shall we give him that name?

It says: JUSTIN comes from a Latin name which means "just" as in "fairminded". In Quenya, this is "faila", so when masculinized you name is Failon. "(the) just one". In Sindarin you name is Faelon from "fael" - "just having good fae".

Roheryn - Figwits_Fancy: You're welcome! Glad to oblige. And I rather like the sound of Failon/Faelon. Goes nicely with "Figwit".

Vardalon - Faelon looks good too, will change that right away.
A few notes on all that:

Yeah, I got quite excited there. I was just so thrilled that someone finally told us which Elf Justin played. That's when I had my page that was more like a Most Wanted list, so when I found out, I jumped at getting the page set up. As I said, I wanted to be sure that mine was the first, since I got to help name the fellow.

That Realm of the Lady site listed above is no longer hosted there. It has moved and I don't know where the Elf names site went to where I got that info from... My Elvish name would be Silivren, by the way.

That Figwits_Fancy name mentioned was my name on the Mr. Mysterious Elf site at the time... *blush*
