According to the Ancient Egyptian belief man consisted of a body xa, a soul ba, an intelligence xu, and a ka. The word 'Ka' means 'image' . It has been identified as his abstract personality" "It was a subordinate part of the human being during life, but after death it became active"The ka could also be seen as the  guide of each individual and it is the spiritual double that resides with every man.
It is interesting to compare this of how the Qur'an identifies human: body
(jasad/xa), soul (nafs,ba), intelligence (fou'ad / heart or kernel of
being/xu), and the spirit (ruh/ka) which is in the image of God, a blow from His Spirit.
The Ka, the higher self is the conscious that  will make us realize all we did and its consequences after death.
Ancient Egyptians  thought that one part of the soul, the
ba,  imaged as a human head with a bird's body, got out and flew around.
This was  different from the ka, the soul that survives death in the afterworld.
The  ancient Egyptians with their ba are the one tradition that specifically
designated part of the soul for astral travel that it is connected to the "ba",
that ancient Egyptians referred to. It is the personal aura.

this is a very interesting Qur'anic verse:
"Do they not see how every object Allah created casts its shade right and
left, prostrating itself before Allah in all humility" (The Bee/48)

This particular ayah refers to such aura, or the "ba" that everything alive
or dead has. Such aura is following Allah's laws of nature, and so is
prostrating to Him being aware or not aware of that!
The human aura is a determinative model for the esoteric meaning of the Egyptian ankh which  is a  Symbol of life energy

In ancient Egyptian cosmology,  "Atum was the center of the movement of the universe at the pole."   Hipparchus spoke of "a certain star remaining ever at the same place. And this star is the pivot of the Cosmos the center of the cosmic wheel."So when the text declare that "the great god lives, fixed in the middle of
the sky," the reference is to the polar station
or 'the great celestial  city.
'Atum, the first form of the sun god Ra, was thus the 'Unmoved Mover"
described in Egyptian texts many centuries before Aristotle offered the
phrase as a definition of the supreme power. The Egyptian hieroglyph for
Atum is a primitive sledge, signifying "to move." To the god of the cosmic
revolutions, the Book of the Dead proclaims "Hail to thee, Tmu [Atum] Lord
of Heaven, who givest motion to all things." But while moving the heavens
Atum remained _em hetep_, "at rest" or "in one spot." Throughout all of
Egypt this "resting place" of Atum was remembered as the site of the First
Occasion, the drama of cosmic beginnings.

The circular pathways of the stars intersect with the pyramid as they rotate in the sky and become infused into the quadrangular tiers of the structure.
This provides an insight into the esoteric meaning of 'squaring the circle': the circle is celestial and the square is terrestrial. the interplay between circle and square, is  the 'dance of opposites'.
This is the peak of Mt. Meru, symbolic of both the celestial north pole and the completion of the cycle of rebirths into matter
Atum,  is "the arbiter of destiny perched on the top of the world pole."
this immutable center which directs and regulates cosmic movement is the
throne of the Buddha himself, the pivot of Jade, the  polar power or mystic Tao that rules the
"golden center, which is the Axis of the World."the Maya creator god
Huracan, the "Heart of Heaven" at the celestial pole (the Central Fire) ,
the seat of Varuna," in Vedic hymns, where  "all wisdom centres, as the nave is
set within the wheel. In the Iranian theosophy, the heavenly Pole, the focal point of the
spiritual ascent, acts as a magnet to draw beings to its "palace ablaze
with immaterial matter". Here again one can see a concordance with the
physical pole which attracts the loadstone and the compass needle.
The Pole is also a mountain, called Mountain Qaf, whose ascent, like
Dante's climbing of the Mountain of Purgatory, represents the pilgrim's
progress through spiritual states.. The spiritual pilgrim finds
there the Emerals Rock, the threshold of the beyond. He is
henceforth "Hyperborean," whose soul has "reached such
completeness and harmony that it is devoid of negativity and shadow; it
is neither of the east nor of the west."

The journey of the Pharaoh after his death to 'go
forth into the light' and have the ability to enter the sky region of the
circumpolar star-gods required that the ba  traverse several perilous
regions of the duat, or Otherworld, before ultimately reaching the akhet, or
border zone (i.e. horizon) between the terrestrial and the celestial realms.
A critical stage of this voyage took place when the Fifth Division -- the
fifth hour of darkness midway between sunset and sunrise -- was entered.
This was the cavern of Sokar.  The  domain of Sokar was completely devoid of
light and thus represented the point at which the ba was most proximate to
potential annihilation, the difficulty for his ba to open a way out of the
darkness and move toward the akhet was anticipated and strategically offset
by prearranging to have the pathway of the Descending Passage illuminated by
the light of the 'Imperishables" . this  is similare to the Islamic description of the the "sirat" (path) stretched above Hell and leading to Paradise, it is as thin as a hair and as sharp as a sword, people keep falling from it into hell attacked by various monsters,  but one who has light can cross it , those who are pious have a great light and cross it like lightning other have enough light in their toes...the light shines ahead , so that unbelievers behind sunk in darkness call unto them let us borrow some of your light..."
In the occult anatomy of ancient Egypt, the staff of the gods, as
symbolically depicted by the "was" scepter, was manifested on the physical,
biological level as the main artery that delivers refreshed, life-giving
fluid to the human body. The "was" is then a symbol for the control and careful manipulation of Serpent
Power.(Kundalini).  Additionally, the correlation of the form of the was scepter to the
aorta involves the relationship between the fire of the energy and the
diffusing and resulting 'cooling' of this energy.  As the main artery of the
human body, the aorta is the primary vessel by which blood -- refreshed by
the action of breathing -- is channeled to the rest of the body.   Thus the
sub-layer of symbolism contained in the was scepter connotes a quenching of
the fire of the Serpent Power.
this  is evident  in  the sa-ankh symbol
Underscoring the theme of controlling the energy of the Cobra Goddesses by
breath, the sa-ankh is often depicted as being held up to the nose of the
Pharaoh by a participating god or goddess.  The gift of the deity is one of
measured breathing.  By this, not only is the life force refreshed but the
Serpent Power of the Cobra Goddesses is controlled and balanced as it
courses throughout the physical body of the adept.
The Eye of Horus is associated with  bright light.  It is  from the
center of the forehead.  The correlation of the brilliant light of the Eye
of Horus to the Tantric and Yogic teachings relating to the chakras --
psychic nerve centers -- of the human body is worthy of notice.
Specifically, the dynamics of kundalini energy as it pertains to activating
the ajna or brain center chakra (commonly referred to
as the 'third eye') is comparable to the radiant light of the
Eye of Horus.
That which has been shut fast [i.e. the dead] hath been opened by the
command of the Eye of Horus, which hath delivered me.  Established are the
beauties of the forehead of Ra.
Come, the Eye of Horus hath delivered for me my soul, my ornaments are
established on the brow of Ra.  Light is on the faces of those who are in
the members of Osiris (Book of the Dead)
When viewed as a geometric metaphor, the Osirian Legend may be seen as describing the process of transforming a circle by the use of 'magic', i.e.
irrational numbers such as Phi, to create a square with a compass of equal value.
The body of Osiris, the rightful terrestrial delegate of Ra, begins as a circle.  According to the legend, Seth lured Osiris into a box that fitted him perfectly -- a square that enclosed the circleThe 'magic' utilized in this particular process of 'squaring the circle' is the ratio of Phi (1.618.../1).  The crown of Isis, encapsulates all the
necessary principles to infuse divinity into the terrestrial offspring of Osiris
Osiris means  "He Sees the Throne"
Ptah was the chief god of the ancient city of Memphis. He was a creator god who brought all things to being by thinking of them with his mind and saying their names with his tongue
In this mythical time  all men lived in Maat, an ancient Egyptian concept meaning Truth,
a  material express
ion of Cosmic Law
Their nation was known as the Land of Sokar, the Splendid Place of the Beginning of Time  in the fifth division of the Duat, watched over by the Sphinx, the Guardian of the Underworld.

with the story of Akhnatun and Nepher Titi, the ancient Egyptians.
Akhnatun was the one who restored
the message of the pure Oneness to Egypt. In doing so, he ordered the smashing
of all the idols, and built the City of Light "Akhut Atun",
where Love is its only doctrine
