The Birth Of The Valkyrie
At birth Crotack was unique. A product
of the interspecies union of a Sar and a
darpa. As a youth she grew angry and
resentful. She began to hate every creature
that surrounded her because she was the
only one of her kind.
In one instance a Sar wondered ashore
and the result of his encounters began
what would be called one of the most
beguiling dangers in the galaxy. The
creation of the Valkyrie.
Tall, strapping and green skined, the
Sars ruled the oceans, hunting the
massive sea creatures to near extiction,
and subjugating or consuming the lesser
sentient creatures, from the palm sized
humanoid swill, to the Ge-tsai, a spinless
and particularly hidious mammal.
The darpa are docile, and one of the
most innocuous surface dwelling creatures
and a particularly esthetically pleasent
creature. The most striking charateristic is
that they look quite human but are armless,
thus making them one of the most unlikely
species to survive in this hostile world.
Crotack would occasionally kill some of the
many non-setient darpalings that frolicked
around her, especially when their innate
instictual antics began to anoy her.
Young Crotack was ashamed that her Sar
father chose to surround himself with what
she thought of as these loathsome, derisory
creatures.
In time Crotack learned she had an almost
magical control over her father, and with
that knowlege she would build her empire
and destory all that she hated. After
Takma Sar returned from his rutine hunt
he was enraged when he found his dynasy
destroyed. He vowed revenge and set out
on a jurny to descover the purortraiter.
Crotack had directed her Sar father to
return to the ocean and destroy the future
of the Sars.
From out of space fell a giant glowing orb
named Gastone who was abandoned by the
two other entities named Targa a mass of
steel and a crystal named Varda, fell to this
primitive planets surface. The entities have
been traveling the universe consuming
knowledge and assiting the growth of
primitive cultures, sometimes more like
medeling.
A mature female darpa happend upon
Gastone as he sat immobile in his impact
crater starving for some time when a lone
darpa approached. Requiring more
knowledge to survive Gastone granted
this darpa sentience so she could gather
the knowledge
Gastone needed. In time the sentience
fades but not before gastone learned of
Crotack and the evil and danger she
posed.
Gastone sent a group of sentient darpa
to aid Tackma in his jurney to find Crotack
by providing nurishment and facilitating
his survival. Through is endurance and
stamina and the lustrious provisions by
Gastone, Tacma reached Crotack's stone
palace after a long and treacherous jurney
across the desert.
Tacma's attemp at killing Crotack failed
and he quickly became Crotack's prisoner.
when Crotack imprisons Tacma in her first
daughter Ansia's chamber, he escapes but
not before killing Ansia.
Tacma surprises Crotack when he enters
her throne room holding Ansia's little
carcus over his head.
Crotack brainwashes Tacma as a last
dich effort to save her skin after he
vanquishes her father in a long drawn out
fight.
Under Crotack's control, Tacma lays waste
to the darpa in the mountains were they
number in the thousands.
Eventually Tacma managed to regain his
senses, just in time before he completed the
genocide of one the planets most austhetic
and gental species.
For years Crotack went about her business
as she assumed her plan had worked, and
that the darpa as well as the Sars were
extict.
Crotack believed all the nuisances and
the constant reminder of her humiliating
origin from the non-sentient species the
darpa, and the likely competition that
would come from the Sars for the
domination of the world had been
removed forever.
Eventually the darpa are discovered when
a tyke stumbles in view of the Valkyrie city
guards.
Crotack bore a multitude of Valkyrie
warriors, but hereldest daughter was
Gossit, her youngest daughter was Eek Coli
who was Ribo's twin, their closest brother.
Crotack's eldest daughter Gossit envied
her sister Eek Coli because of Crotack's
obvious expressions of favoritism..
To win her mother Crotack's approval
young Eek Coli, one of her youngest of
thousands of daughters lead a Valkyrie
army to slaughter the remaining darpa.
Eek Coli returned with a large number of
darpa to be herded as livestock. To her
elder sisters Gossit's dismay she was
given a commendation by the queen.
Crotack realized that with an increasing
Valkyrie population, darpa meat would be
essential.
Crotack retired to her remote
palace in the mountains after Eek Coli's
coronation. Eek Coli was given Crotack's
greatest posession the great scepter
named Ribo.
Gossit was unhappy with this
arrangment though she made the
best of it with the consessions forced
on Ecoli concerning her property.
The Sars staged a sneak attack
which quickly ended with Eek Coli dead
and all the Valkyrie in the city either
killed or in chains. Gossit was chained
to a pillar as her brother escaped to
warn Crotack.
News of the holocaust came to
Crotack through Crotack's son Ribo
who escaped unnoticed.
The Sars were finally exterminated after
Crotack spent a great deal of time
building an army to destroy the Sars
once and for all. But just as the valkyrie
were slaughtering Sars Gossit had
stormed the Queen's sparcly guarded
palace and buchered Crotack's brood.
inally exterminated by Crotack. The Sar
are now extinct but Croak still lives as
any Valkyrie does, indefinitely... or until
met with a violent end.
