He flew as a Forward Air Controller in Vietnam

If you are interested in a very detail view of South Vietnam, "click on" the map at the right.

During 1966-1967 I spent my entire year flying in support of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) 2nd Division that was located in the city of Quang Naghi. This map is in such detail that you can even see the O'club and the hooch where I hung out. Now, if you  were to follow highway 1 north out of the city you would immediately cross the Song Tra Khuc river. Make a right turn on the first road you pass, Buda Mountain will be on your left. If you continue on  for about 5 mi you'll end up in a place called My Lai.   This name may not strike an immediate chord, but if you were to search the internet for the My Lai Massacre you would probably get about 24,000 "hits". I've selected just one of those web sites.

Now that the 2004 FAC Reunion in San Antonio has come and gone I've just finished a memorial page that honors those who have gone before us. Click here to see that memorial.

This is my placeholder page, the opening page of this small website.
