When I saw this CD in a distro I knew what I had to do. And I have to say I made the right choice. This CD includes Warzone's two full-length albums, "Don't Forget The Struggle, Don't Forget The Streets" and "Open Your Eyes."
Like many of you who read this may know, Warzone reflects old-school-hardcore with some Oi! influences.
The lyrics are about unity, friendship, skinhead-pride (I'm not talking about those fucking white power pieces of shit!), growing up and so on. They are not whiney, rather they tell you that you must keep the faith and stay true to your beliefs. I think this record is fucking brilliant. There are some totally killer songs like "Don't Forget the Struggle, Don't Forget the Streets", "Back to school" and "Striving Higher for a Better Life.� The rest of the songs are really great too.
The cover-inlay is good too. It includes some photos, a notebook where we learn the story of Warzone, and lyrics for three songs. This was the only bad thing about the record because, in my opinion, there should be lyrics to all songs. Raybeez wrote great lyrics and I think his message should be heard. But I won't bitch about the lyrics any more. This record has become my all time favorite. If you haven't heard Warzone yet, you should start with this one!
