This is my first SOIA album and I have only heard one song from this so when I got it I couldn't do any loud singalongs during the classics like 'Built to Last', 'Call to Arms' or 'Potential for a Fall', but I do now. The songs are (I believe) from their entire career and sound pretty much like they do the by playback; so tightly.
This is basically one gig in a San Francisco club (the singer is always saying "let's go San Fran!") on a record, 24 songs in about 45 minutes. There is even a song (Rat Pack) with some geezer in the audience singing, and doing it very well. At the same time this album is a best of and a live so what more could you ask?! Of course in 24 songs there are always a couple I'd like to skip over, but because I have the vinyl I don't skip.
Like every decent band, SOIA tours after releasing a new album, and they have toured Europe and even Scandinavia many many times, they have played in Sweden many many times, but never been in Finland, one can only ask why?
Every reviewer is always saying that they don't like live albums, but I do. My favourites are: Motrhead: No Sleep 'til Hammersmith, Thin Lizzy: Live And Dangerous, The Clash: From Here to Eternity and I even like the session on Blood For Blood 'Wasted Youth Brew' -album (even it's a bit sloppy).
