This was kind of an unofficial gig because it was in the practice space of several bands. That's why the crowd didn't really pay to get in, they just gave a little gas money to the bands.
Musically, both bands were unknown to me. But I knew that both bands played thrashy hardcore. And hardcore is always hardcore.
There were only five people plus bands and their crew, so that was seven people plus the bands... Some punk-girls came, but they left only after couple of Rytmihiri songs. I don't get the point of coming to see bands and then leaving after only two songs. Maybe surmacore was too much for them.
Anyway, Rytmihiri played well, I guess. I could have liked them more if I'd heard them before. They played a Minor Threat cover Bottled Violence, but they had translated the song to Finnish and it was Viinaa ja Vkivaltaa. They also tried to make sXe guys take Kambina, but we were strong ;) Then they gave 9.Surmanluoti's drummer a chance to play with them because he had wanted to for the whole tour. But then he wasn't really excited about it, maybe because he was so drunk... Then Rytmihiri's drummer went to sing while their singer took a break.
The gig was over and the area was 9. Surmanluoti! As said, the drummer of 9. Surmanluoti was really drunk. Their set was quite short. Their style wasn't bad, but because the drummer was so drunk they didn't play very well... But all of us had fun! The drummer said that he hadn't played so bad over five years. After 9.Surmanluoti played, something interesting happened: a couple of guys from the bands started play old heavy metal like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and some other well known classic songs. The drummer of Rytmihir took the microphone, but I guess almost all of the guys played all of the instruments. Also our host, Anger, brought his guitar! That was really fun! When they started play Iron Maiden's Trooper I had no choice but to take the second mic and sung it too. Unfortunately I didn't remember all lyrics...
That was a fun night. Thanks to the bands and Anger!
