This demo is almost two years old, but I�m going to review it anyway.
Royal Family is from Jyv�skyl�, Finland and plays Street-Oi!-Punk and they do it damn well. The quality of sound is kind of shitty, but it fits with this kind of music. I can't think of any band that sounds like Royal Family but in an interview (Chambers Netzine) their singer said that their influences come probably from '77-style British Punk.
My favourite songs are �It Was Time,� �Live Or Die,� �Just Another Phase� and �You're Not Alone,� but I like the rest of the songs very much as well.
I think these songs are very easy to sing-a-long to if you like doing that. I would like to tell you something about the lyrics but it's kind of hard because the lyrics didn't come with the cassette. I guess they're pretty much typical non-political Oi! lyrics.
The singer of the band said that the story of Royal Family is over. This is very sad because Family is one of my all time favorite Finnish bands.
