Ive wanted a One Way System record since I heard their song, Give Us A Future, and I finally got their best of album, Forgotten Generation. It includes songs from their first two albums, All System Go and Writing The Wall.
The record starts with Stab the Judge which is a good song, and after that comes the legendary Give Us A Future. Its useless to write here all of the song titles because you can see em below.
Songs are good, Oi! / punk with old school hardcore influences. Musically it is the same kind of stuff as The Exploited, but I think this is better. This is tighter and not so redneck. And of course theres sing-a-long choruses. Singer, Gavin Whyte, has the voice you must have when you play this kind of music.
And because its not nice to write my favorite Theres no actual weak song, but first the first song, Stab The Judge, is fucking ace, Give Us A Future (I just invented a funny joke, Give US A Future, get it?) is legendary and fucking good, Forgotten Generation has awesome guitar melodies and Jerusalem has become my favorite too.
All in all, this band is punk as fuck: fuck off attitude, leather jackets and spiked hair, but more than that, really good, aggressive UK punk. Worth checking out, especially if you like The Exploited but think theyre too retarded.
