I wish it was 1977... Here is truly an essential collection of one of my all time favorite bands in chronological order. Starting with the perfect picture of its time, the White Riot 1977 single and then almost every song from the first and second LP's. The second CD includes 7 songs from the London Calling album, which is, to me, the best album ever made. But only 7 fucking songs! Oh well you should own the whole album by now anyway. The next (magnificent ha!) seven songs are from the famous 'Sandinista' triple LP, and after that is a few cuts from 'Combat Rock'. The last song is only one from 'Cut the Crap', entitled This is England.
Last I have to say that I don't actually own this album, I just looked at it in the record store and noticed it was very good. After that I looked at the songlist and saw that it covers the bands' career very well. When it comes down to collections, you can always complain about the songlist, but that's basically a matter of opinion. I, myself, prefer the actual albums to this.
