Endstand is probably the best hardcore band at these days in Finland. They have been for a couple of years. Endstand was the band that led me to world of Hardcore.
Comparing this album to their earlier stuff, I think their sound on this record is more advanced. The sound is not quite so raw and the songs have more melody and are more rock. I love their earlier stuff and I love their new stuff. The sound is pure. Now it's possible to concentrate on only the guitar or bass.
The lyrics are written they way I think is best: political but not preachy.
I haven't ever heard a bad Endstand song and this record is no exception. All of the songs are good, but my favorites are Dead Flies Off the Window Sill and The Fuel. In my opinion the last song Someone Is Watching You was too heavy. It's a damn good way to end the record (organs play at the end of the song), but I guess I'm too impatient; often I press stop-button before the last song ends. The backing vocals are very good. It's kind of hard to explain but it's like the backing vocals sing one line. I don't know if anyone understands what Im trying to say, but it sounds really great.
I can recommend this CD to the people who don't usually listen punk or hardcore. I give it an A!
