I know three of the guys from this band and when I did the On A Solid Rock interview with Tume and the Armageddon Clock interview with Mikko they both mentioned Delta Force 2 when I asked about if they had other bands. When I found out they released a demo cassette (I have one from a very limited edition, only 14 copies!) I waited for it with all kinds of confused feelings.
What do you think about a band that plays fast hardcore with mosh parts, sings in Finnish, and has a song for Chuck Norris? I think that kind of stuff works out really well.
I guess this band is like a joke band, but the lyrics are not all a joke. There's a song (�Omat Koirat Puree� (Own Dog�s Bite)) about how Delta Force executed George Bush and it's easy to understand why. The funniest song is �Chuck Norris [Vitun Kova J�tk�]� (Chuck Norris [fucking tough guy]). The lyrics of �P�� Palaa� (Head Burning) reminds me somehow of lyrics I wrote when I was 14 or something. �Mossaa Tai Delaa� (Mosh Or Die) is kind of obvious. �Yhdistyk��!� (Unite!) is about animal rights. There's also a cover song from some other band.
Musically this is good. I like the riffs and I guess fast hardcore just is my thing. Somehow these songs remind me of Warzone.
Maybe this Chuck Norris thing is too much for some people (like Juhani), but I think it's a good joke.
