When I was in Ramparock, this record was in a distro and when I asked what kind of stuff is this? the guy who was selling the record said thats Oi! music. Because this cost only three euros, I decided to buy it.
So what did I get? The lyrics are really political and very left wing. Or at least thats the picture I got. But thats ok to me because Im far more left wing than right wing. I dont know if these guys are punks or skins and I dont think that even matters. But its cool to read in the booklet that This album is dedicated to: Ant Fascist Action, Animal Liberation Front, Hunt Saboteurs, Antifa etc. because many Oi! bands dont do that kind of stuff (except Oi Polloi, but theyre not so Oi! anymore) Lyrically I like them very much. All of the stuff they sing about are things that I can agree with.
Musically well, if I heard only four songs from this CD, I would love them. Its good old Oi! stuff, but 16 songs is too much. Its almost like repeating three songs over and over again. More variety would make this record lot of better. Its kind of odd that that bothers me because usually I dont mind if songs are similar. Maybe this record crossed the line, I dont know.
So is this record worth buying? Thats the thing you want to know, right? Well, like I said to me this cost only 3 euros so to me this wasnt a bad deal. But if youre going to buy this from a record store, I recommend that you listen to more than only a couple of songs. And if you think you might like political Oi! stuff, check this out.
