Permanent Cosmetics are achieved through cosmetic tattooing. Pigments are inserted underneath the surface of the skin. Although law dictates that the results of these procedures be labelled "permanent," a better word might be "longlasting." Most permanent cosmetics, if left alone, will last up to approximately fifteen years before almost entirely fading away. Most people will find that they wish to have theirs freshened up anywhere from 2 - 7 years after initially receiving them, depending on the individual's skin and lifestyle. The procedures I perform-- eyeliner, lash enhancement (a very thin eyeliner in the lash line), brows, lips, beauty marks, scar camouflage and areola restoration-- result in highly satisfied clients.

Nearly everyone! Besides offering you the freedom to look how you want to upon waking in the morning, be active, or go to the beach without fuss, Permanent Cosmetics can liberate you from being a slave to the make-up mirror or from being dissatisfied with some aspect of your current appearance. These procedures can also help ease some of the natural disadvantages of aging, such as the "feathering" of lipstick that can happen, or not being able to see well enough to apply regular make-up. They are also incomparable for contact lens wearers and those with allergies, alopecia, or impetigo. I have permanent eyeliner and lipcolor on my own face so I know precisely what the experience is like, and I thoroughly believe in these procedures and the simplicification they can add to your daily life. It's uplifting to be pleasantly surprised at your appearance when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror!
Absolutely. These procedures are completely customizable to you, according to your preferences. They can be done to look natural or to look more "made-up." I will work with you during our procedure: taking your input, determining exactly where the pigment will be placed, mixing the colors for your approval, and showing you how the procedure is progressing. I am extremely conscientious and want you to be delighted with my services.
Frequently Asked Questions
I use the strongest topical anesthetic gels available to make my procedures virtually painfree, unlike many other operators who use no anesthetics at all! However, it is impossible to predict exactly how an individual will perceive the procedure to feel. Results range from no pain sensation at all to mild discomfort. It is advisable to avoid caffeine and stimulants preceding the procedure to help prevent pain.
Some swelling is typical, and slight bruising may occur, though this is more unusual. Immediately following the procedure you must rest and apply an icepack for up to one hour. Lips generally become more swollen than other areas, and may take 3 days or so to subside. Eyelids usually swell for 2 days. Pigment colors appear MUCH more intense immediately following the procedure than they will when healed. The treated area will feel dry and become somewhat "crackly" for a few days after the procedure, then the new skin will emerge from underneath showing a much softer color, closer to what your final result will be. During those few days, you may wear conventional make-up applied very carefully over the new pigment if you desire to tone down the new pigment. Complete healing takes 4 - 6 weeks.
