Another thirty-two (32) OFWs in Ajman received certificates of completion during the Graduation Ceremony held in Ajman Beach Hotel on 4 June 2004. The distributed certificates were related to various Upgrading Skills Courses offered for FREE by the Filipino Association for Computer Excellence (FACE) namely, PC Assembly Batch 6, PC Networking Batch 5 and the new course on Graphic Design.

Asst. Labor Attache, Hon. Florencia Ardivilla, inspired the graduates by saying, “…I hold the highest esteem for the people in this hall, not only for the technical know-how they possess, but more so for these now graduating students’ determination not to be daunted by the complexities of the computer. I am quite certain that their time spent learning from FACE was time well spent and shall serve them well in their future!”

On the other hand, Club President, Engr. Edmundo Ferrer, added significance by giving a thought-provoking lecture about the Software of the Mind, Culture, Inequalites and Middle Class. Engr Ferrer very well tackled these issues through graphical slide presentation.

The total number of graduates were distributed as follows: 24 for Graphic Design course and 4 each of the PC Assembly and PC Networking.

Area Course Coordinator, Mr. Sonny Castillo proudly proclaimed the graduates and said he, “You, the graduates, are the fruits of our labors. However, in order to grow further trees, you need to reach out and share to your compatriots on what you have gained or acquired from these Upgrading Skills courses. And this is very much one of the missions in our Club. So, we therefore encourage you to render your community services. You are most welcome to join the Filipino Association for Computer Excellence (FACE). This is all our club.”

Part of the program was the Awarding of medals and trophies to outstanding graduates.

The program was concluded by the Closing Remarks rendered by the Chairman of the Committee on Training & Workshop, Ms. Olympia Pineda.

As we are recognized as teachers of Information Technology, always remember to keep the Lord in our heart and make Him the center of our life. For without Him, we can do nothing.”
