Honor: may apply to the recognition of one's right to show great respect or to any expression of such recognition;
Homage:adds the implication of accompanying praise;
Reverence:implies profound respect mingled with love, devotion, or awe;
Deference:implies a yielding or submitting to another judgment or preference out of respect or reverence.
�I have seen this bantered around many sites and have heard it discussed at many levels.
A long proverbial question, can a slave affect a Masters honor?
Feel free to come to your own conclusions, but I for one feel that a slave can not affect a Mans honor any more than my dog could do so, my dog will not affect my honor by its behavior no matter how well or how bad it acts in public or private, it may have an effect on how I feel in regards to PRIDE but not HONOR so how could a slave have any effect on my honor. Honor is something given, earned, prized and cherished, since slaves can own nothing how can they give it? How can an animal bring Honor upon its owner, it cant but it can bring recognition of pride by doing well with what it was trained to do.
Can a slave have honor?
No a slave can not have honor, how can a slave have anything since slaves� can own nothing, not even their name.
