WELCOME TO MICHAEL'S JOURNAL!!!
My name is Michael and I am Phoenix's personal journalist.  I follow her to all her matches and jot down notes so that I can give YOU the fans a detailed description of just what went down at our dear Firebird's most recent challenge!  Check back after each of Phoenix's matches to find a full write-up right here on MICHAEL's JOURNAL!!!

Hey guys!  This is Michael.  Here's a recap on what I saw last nite at AWF's International Implications!! (check out www.awf.ca  in case I missed anything and to check out some pictures!)

After a presentation of flowers and a playing of the Japanese and American national anthems, this highly anticipated contest was under way.  With Jason Sensation barred from ring-side, it looked, momentarily as though Phoenix was going to wrestle this match on the level as she announced that she was going to bow as a show of respect to Miss Sakai.  Sumie returned the custom only to be blind-sided by Phoenix.  These two ladies then proceeded to show that wrestling clinics need not only be put on by men!  Phoenix had a considerable size advantage over Sakai and applied a viscious backbreaker that put the Japanese superstar down for two.  Sumie rallied, however, and put down Phoenix with some of the stiffest dropkicks seen in an AWF ring including two off the top rope.  Although Sumie speaks little English, she was still able to provide some levity in the match by sitting on Phoenix's back in a ruthless camel clutch and stretching Phoenix's mouth back to her ears. Phoenix gained the upper hand, however, after a missed top rope splash by Sakai and caught Sumie with a quick Michinoku Driver  which put Sumie Sakai down for the count. Post match both competitors raised each others hands in a show of mutual respect!

Check back soon for another write-up from me, Michael!!!!!
