Day 2:
You head over to the office the next afternoon, pick up Lumiera, bring all the equipment you need. Together you get to the airport, where you board your scheduled plane to fly over to South Africa.
It takes half a day to get there, so when the plane touches down, you grab your luggage, rent a car, and drive over to the nearest hotel to get some sleep...
The next morning you get an early start at 6:00, and head in the direction of the base. You are still very sleepy so Lumeira volunteers to drive.
An hour later, however, you wake to a poorly paved road; as you go along, the tall, dark trees around the car become more and more packed, and lean closer to the road. You sit up, rearranging the blanket across your lap.
Though she's driving without a map, Lumiera says she saw several signs pointing the way down this road, so you can only hope that you'll be there soon.
