This site chronicles our family's story to repatriate property that was confiscated and held by the Albanian Government.  It will also serve as an informational site for others that are seeking similar property rights from the Albanian Government.

Our property includes a large leather and shoe factory located in Gjirokaster, Albania.  It  was owned by my grandfather his brother and several investors. It was confiscated in 1945 by the communist government. In 1993 following the law the courts awarded the family the factory.

Unfortunately, the court order of 1993 was never enforced and we found ourselves again in a situation of having the property confiscated for a second time but this time by the democratic Albanian government.

The struggle for justice that we seek is not only for our property but it is also a struggle for a Democratic Albania.

A panoramic view of a beautiful part of Gjirokaster.

The large and magnificent homes are part of the historical character of the city.

The city is not only the place where our factory resides but is also the birthplace of Enver Xhoja the communist leader that ruled Albania from 1945 till his death.

Our family home was confiscated by Enver and given to his first cousin to occupy as their own home till this day.
A view from the family home towards a medievel Ottoman fort.

This is where my grandfather was imprisoned and died at the hands of the Albanian Government.

This is the view that his wife would have seen every morning as she left the home to shop in the marketplace in Gjirokaster.
