Colombian Ethnomedicine Foundation is a filial society of the german society of ethnomedicine (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Ethnomedizin) and has following objectives:
- 1. Investigation and application of new therapeutic
and investigative tools, as a reaction to the permanent crisis of health
in Colombia, which remains trapped in reductionistic and bureaucratic models,
regardless of the quality of the service and ignoring the expectations
of the patient.
2. Allow exploration in fields of consciousness, which tends to be a revolution in the next millenium, in areas like psychosomatic, arts, religion, archetypes, culture and based on psychoanalysis, ethnobotany and transcultural encountering visions, highly efficient in intellectual and social concerns.
3. Protection of the different ethnic replevin, against the process of cultural loss and recovering the values that are close to definitely disappear, due to its unknowledge.
4. Trespass pure academics, providing possible solutions intended for solving the paradox of the third world, richness in resources and general poverty.
5. Allow international cooperation in scientific exchange and provide a contribution to developed countries in treating with problems like addictions, cancer, aids, psychosomatic disease, due to the satisfactory results with our patients in Colombia.
6. Cooperation with national and international entities in related themes and specially with the THE SHAMANIC STUDIES FOUNDATION in developing a coherent american cosmogony as a theoretical and practical basis.
