| Will chemical photography be history? Probably yes, if we consider the costs of chemical developping. But photography is the arts of capturing images, doesn' matter how. It does not change much the overall conception. But I don' think to throw right away my 35mm film cameras.What I think will be the future for the conventional cameras is the use of a combined process: Chemical photography to obtain the negatives and after scan them, edit the photos on the computer and print them, or keep them in digital format. The ditigal imaging programs available really can make difference on a photo quality, correcting the brighteness, contrast, gamma... You can even correct imperfections of the lenses with digital process and that may be a milestone to increase the quality of the images, no matter they were originally taken in chemical or digital process. |
