A presence in the Italian punk scene since 1995, Fabio Van Mess was a founding member of street punk band Mess Mess Mess in 1998. Originally drummer, in 1999 started to be the band's lead vocalist, keeping on playing drums too, and this is what he's still doing. Aside from the band he's always been playing guitar and writing songs. In 1998 he recorded two demos playing electric guitar and programming electronic drums but he never released them. In the more recent years he preferred writing songs and play with the acoustic guitar, becoming an acoustic punk singer. His major influences are the Adverts, the Vibrators and many early british punk bands, solo Johnny Thunders and some artists outside of punk like the Rolling Stones. His music is a mix of punk rock, loud choruses, folk and a little bit of country and blues, all played with an acoustic guitar and a very little more. In 2006 he released his first self produced cd, "Acoustic Generation", containing 7 original songs and a cover version of Chron Gen's classic "You Make Me Spew". Out early 2007 his new cd.
