Our venue changed but our mission did not- great golf, great rates, and a great time. The courses in Mesquite and St George were quite different from what we’ve experienced on the Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Golf Trail in Alabama. However, they were every bit as fun, maintained, and scenic! The courses did not disappoint.
It was very reasonable and less expensive than RTJ. Your total cost for green fees, carts, and hotel? Well, it was in the neighborhood of $500.
A couple of us arrived early and took the ladies to Zion National Park. You and your lady won't want to miss out next year... just incredible. And there were a few of us who arrived early for an extra round (or two) of golf.

St George, UTEntrada - a terrific Johnny Miller design which opened in September 1996, it was rated one of the top new courses in the country and was once the #1 public course in Utah.
Coral Canyon - a new design which just celebrated it's one year anniversary and was every bit as good as advertised.
Green Spring - once rated the #1 golf course in Utah, it was built in 1991 and was named one of the top 5 new courses in the country.
Sunbrook - offers 3 different 9's including one hole with a covered bridge as well as an island green. One of the few courses with some trees... but that's just one set of 9's. Over the years it's challenged Green Spring for #1 in Utah... capturing the honor in '97 & '98.
Mesquite, NV
Oasis - an Arnold Palmer design which opened in the mid 90's and was named one of the top 5 resort courses in the country. Currently the #5 public course in Nevada. It features elevated tee boxes on nearly ever hole, outstanding views, holes carved into box canyons, and a few stategically placed water hazards.
Wolf Creek - a new design which opened a year ago and, along with the Paradise Resort, cost nearly 50 million dollars to develop. It was just named the #3 best new upscale golf course in the country and has been featured in 'Affluent Golfer' and other such magazines.
The Palms - a good course with two distinct 9's.. a fairly open front nine which is flat and somewhat boring followed by a back 9 with elevated tee boxes and lots of challenges. An inexpensive alternative for those not wishing to play Wolf Creek or a second round at Oasis.
