Downloading Engines are EVIL

I don't have much faith in those downloading engines anymore. My name is Rachel Oh, and this is my story.

Once upon a time, many years ago, in the land of happy, i downloaded imesh and it was good, very good.
It gave me many mp3's and was a lot more reliable than the old napster. And the users didn't get large bills after the big mulitinational compaines decided to murder napster.
But then on one horrible day... they upgraded *sinister music* and because they decided to block anybody who didn't go with the upgrade... Since we didn't want to give up our new found freedom, we all complied and upgraded... Not long after the upgrade, it locked up & died. *pause for a minute of silence*
We were all sad in the land of the happy... but we pressed on & found another bigger better downloading engine.
We had moved to better sights, we had moved onto morpheus *angel music* . It still didn't have the pizzaze of the first d/l engine, but it did the job and it was all good in the land of happy.
However, on another dreaded day *pregnant sinister music* morpheus, decided to release a "new and improved", preview version. *dah da!*
Still scarred by the last upgrade, we however pressed on, and decided that perhaps it wouldn't happen again...
ahh how young and innocent we were *sigh*..
Anyway, not long after the new upgrade, morpheus decided to kick the bucket, lock up house and went for a very long holiday.
After that everyone in the land of happy was distraught, where would we get all our fablous mp3's? All of that underground music that you just can't buy in 'normal' cd stores.
So I went on a quest and searched high and low for another reliable search engine, much like my first.
During my long a tiresome quest, I tried many search engines, but they just didn't have the variety of songs that i wanted, or the vast number of users that makes peer-to-peer networks viable.
Finally, through a number of sources, I reluctantly came to kazaa (which is actually the mamma of morpheus) & thought 'ahh all my troubles are over'.

However, kazaa must be a lot older than morpheus because it's loaded with a lot more ads... it's probably going through menopause, as I soon found out.
When i tried to install it, it decided to upgrade itself & wanted to install another patch so i complied.
However it didn't like it's new patch and it locked up & shutdown ALL my programs down! save aol (because it's always kind enough to ask if you want to log off - always found that annoying.. not anymore) was not happy jan! No jan wasn't happy at all.
Now that it's installed, it hasn't given me much trouble, save the occasional hiccup when it decides to kick me of msn.

So we in the land of the happy decided to put up with this and we all lived not so happily after.

The End.
