2003-03-04 Ming Bao -After F4's shot to fame, the Taiwan music industry began its "Boyband era", among them are LiWei and LinYouWei's group, Wewe who's performance was also relatively good. They portray a healthy image, so many advertisement companies asked them to endorse their product, the one that led to their introduction to the HK audience was the Coke ad. Although Wewe is a group, but most of the time, they both separate to work on their own individual projects. LiWei has recently released his solo album "Camouflage", and he took four days to promote it in HK.

LiWei filmed "Toast Man's Kiss" in Taiwan, which introduced him into
the show-biz, making the process of releasing a solo debut easier. He says that
the only reason he was able to become popular so easily was all because of F4.
"Aren't F4 your competitors?" LiWei says: "It was because of
Meteor Garden which led them to fame and opened up the road for many idol dramas
to come. So, I constantly say that 'Without F4, there would be no LiWei'. They
created many opportunities for young actors starting out in Taiwan.
