Jina's Connecticut Concert Report
After reading everyones concert report, I thought that I should write one on my experience at the F4 Fantasy Concert at Connecticut. Im pretty sure that many people wrote about the concert itself, so Ill just share with everyone my personal experience with it. I attended the 3 PM show with my best friend, her sister, and my parents.
First of all, I have a short story to tell about how I got my tickets, but if you dont really care, scroll down a few paragraphs to get to the concert itself. I was approximately sitting/standing in the tenth row from the stage, and thats not bad at all for the fact that my tickets were free. It was by chance that my dads friend was one of those people that were marketing the tickets. Ever since the end of December, Ive been begging my dad for concert tickets, but all I got in response was a "Well see." It wasnt until about a week before a concert when my dad called me after school from his work to ask me if I could find a way of contacting my best friend, whos away in college. I figured I should be able to and he told me to ask her if shes interested in accompanying me to the F4 concert.
At that point, I knew for sure I would be going. Once I called my friend and confirmed with her, we decided that wed bring along her sister, whos a F4 fan also. When I asked my dad why he decided to buy the tickets, he said that he didnt buy them. His friend (the marketing one) needed a favor from him and was joking saying that hed pay for his concert tickets. Well, the joke turned out to be serious and his friend gave him five $68 dollar tickets. At first, I was pretty depressed thinking that the $68 tickets would only allow me to see them from far away, but it was better than nothing.
During the day of the concert, I left my house at 10:30, considering that I live in NJ and Connecticut was a three hour drive away. Unfortunately, some things came up along the way and I didnt reach Mohegan Sun until 2:45. I was suppose to meet a few of our members before the concert, but because of my tardiness, everything was messed up. By the way, I want to use this chance to apologize to Erica, Mandy, Nina, and Fiona about not being able to meet up with you. Anyway, to continue my story, once I got into the stadium, I found my seat and just as I expected, it was one of those balcony seats.
The concert was suppose to start at 3:00, but having past experiences with other concerts, I didnt expect it to start until 3:30. But once we sat down, we tried moving up to the edge of the balcony to get as close as possible. But with my luck, a pole was in my way and blocking my view. Then my best friends sister suggested that we move down to the empty seats on ground level. I then realized that it was 3:15 and many seats on the ground level was empty. We were debating for one to two minutes as to whether we should try to sneak down there or not. In the end, we decided that we have nothing to lose. At most, the securities will tell us to return to our seats, but its better to try than to do nothing. When we walked down, we were almost stopped by one of the securities to check our tickets, but we ran around him before he got a chance to.
And when the concert started, we found ourselves a seat right at the bottom of the stairs, which was perfect. Im 52" and if I stood on the ground, I wouldnt have been able to see through the people, but standing on the first step on the stairs gave me perfect view. Im pretty sure everyone has heard about the songs and the dances, so Im not going to elaborate on that. But I do want to share that I managed to touch Vanness hand!!! Originally, I would have been able to shake Vics hand also, but I tripped over a chair. But when Vanness walked by (I was standing by the area where they sometimes walk in and out) I kicked the chair out of the way and managed to stick out my hand and he high-fived me!!! He has big hands!!!
I was screaming so loud at the concert that I semi-lost my voice the next day. I was singing along with F4 for all the songs and instead of breathing in between the verses, I decided to scream their names. So every time that I finished a song, I had some breathing problems!!! But it was worth it. Many people complained about F4s outfit, but I found them ok. The only one I didnt like was the style of Vics purple outfit, but since purple is my favorite color, it was still ok. My favorite part was when they sang "Cant Lose You" because of their outfits and all four of them being on stage. Out of the whole concert, I only had one complain and it wasnt F4s problem, it was my stupidity. Ive waited the whole night to get one picture of them standing together. And the perfect chance came when they bowed to the audiences at the end, but guess what? Yep, my camera ran out of film! I was about to cry. But the good thing was I managed to one of those souvenir calendars. Im getting my pictures developed, and if they turn out good, Ill post them up. I wish I could live through the concert once more! If only time can backtrack!!!
