It was a quiet day in the Mechanicsville camp. 
The first Sargents were wearing their fancy hats and bow ties. 
Even the Barber was in rare form.
Drill,
and more drill.
Drill,
Then the 2nd Battalion was called up to repel the rebels.
We took hits and
some good men were lost.
But it only served to get our dander up.
