Vicinity House Church supports the work of Plain Truth Ministries and its
online church, "Christianity Without the Religion." While we have a few
issues upon which we differ, we are pleased to recommend this work and link
to its ministries.
Our Beliefs: *
1. The triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. The diety of Jesus Christ.
3. The transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
4. The authority of the Bible.
5. Salvation only by Jesus Christ, faith and grace.
6. Those who belong to the body of Jesus Christ, are His Church.
7. We believe that as The Living God;... Jesus Christ -- Spiritually baptizes believers;... And that communion is done -- in Spirit.
Sacraments
The sacraments may not be required of the mature church today. The Holy Spirit can be recieved without baptism(Acts 10:47). Just as a portion of law was allowed to early gentile converts(Acts15:20)because of their tradition, God may have allowed the sacraments for the newly converted Jews at that time, because of their ingrained habit of rituals. Jesus was baptised "to fulfill all righteousness"(Matthew 3:15), and the Last Supper was for "remembrance" of Jesus(Luke22: 19), but the ceremonies may have been intended only because of the newness of grace to the fledgling church, made up of people so steeped in the rites of their day and age. God is more concerned that we believe with our "heart"(Romans 10:9); than with the sacraficial things -- we do!!! 1 Corinthians 13:12, John 16:13. Just as if Jesus were physically here today He would baptize us; ... As the Living God Christ baptizes believers today -- when they ask Him to.We believe that as The Living God;... Jesus Christ -- Spiritually baptizes believers;... And that communion is done -- in Spirit.We believe there is justification for not literately practicing the the sacraments;... But symbolically doing them -- in the Spirit.Romans 8:28-34. The sacraments may have been physically required of the church in the beginning, in order to remind them of Christ, until they grew into the newness of the Holy Spirit;... And until the New Testament was written -- for "remembrance". Jesus Christ may have been preparing the Apostles(Matthew 28:19) for what they would be doing(Acts)during the early days;... Before the Bible was wrtten -- as a reminder. The relevance of physically performing the sacraments, could be for the practice of new converts;... At the beginning of their -- Spiritual growth.

"The Post-Evangelical movement is rather new and is a response against the weaknesses of evangelicalism.
Post-evangelicals view the church as fundamentally flawed by human activity, yet still a divine institution. They still hold the same authoritative view of the Bible as do evangelicals, but reject bigoted interpretations which have caused denominationalism. Post-evangelicals view their relationships with God and fellow humans as more important than their relationship to a particular church. They prefer living Christianity throughout the week, rather than what they perceive to be often empty rituals once a week. For instance, post-evangelicals often prefer to share communion in a home environment, and see the communion in a church building as less meaningful, because of its connection to church politics and power struggles.
Post-evangelicals reject what they see as a materialistic health-wealth, miracle-chasing gospel of Pentecostal evangelicalism, and the man-made legalism of "touch not, taste not" of conservative Protestant evangelicalism. Post evangelicals reject both empty, meaningless preaching and overly legalistic preaching. They prefer meaningful biblical content to excessive melodrama and empty content covered up by shouting and stage dramatics .
By and large, Post-evangelicalism rejects the institutionalism, politicized, bigoted, power struggles of the overly-structured church and is an attempt to rediscover the less structured Christianity of the early church. It focuses more on individual responsibility to live Christianity and sees much of what occurs in churches as vain ritual without real meaning."

I've been watching some of the TV programs about Jesus Christ. Suppose they were true(of course they are not) of the boy, and man Jesus. All of the carnal acts that were supossed to have been committed by Jesus the boy and man are covered by grace. Upon acceptance of the risen Lord and Savior Christ Jesus God the Son, all would be forgiven of the boy and man, and those the acts were supposed to have been committed on and/ or with; also saved by grace upon acceptance of Jesus Christ God the Son -- as Lord and Savior!!!
Syncretism:

What is Transpersonal Psychology? 6. Transpersonal psychology is the future
norm in psychology, as yet unrecognized by the mainstream. Transpersonal psychology is largely
inclusive of and builds on the psychoanalytic, behavioral/experimental, and humanistic psychologies that
preceded it. It provides both an extension of and a different perspective from these previous
psychologies. It is in no way a denial of the validity of their theories and techniques. It simply places them in a
new context. Transpersonal psychology asserts that religious and mystical experiences and the
perspectives that derive from them are valid approaches to reality and can be studied scientifically.
It is the beginning attempt of science to understand these most meaningful of human experiences.
10. The simplest definition is that transpersonal psychology is spiritual psychology. It recognizes that humanity
has both drives toward sex and aggression and drives toward wholeness, toward connecting with and experiencing the divine."
