KIMI RAIKKONEN
We like Kimi, in fact we like Kimi a lot.
Coming from relative obsurity to F1's Sauber team last year it was quickly very obvious that this was a guy with talent, in bucketloads.

In his first season he scored a point at his first grand prix - something that happens quite rarely, not even Michael Schumacher managed that and then went on to gather points steadily through the remainder of the season. Finishing up with a total of nine and a respectable 71% reliablity record - and only two driver error accidents. Not bad for a first season.

We were a little surprised to find that McLaren opted for Kimi in preference to the other impressive Sauber driver, Nick Heidfeld, but when young drivers are this good they're not normally left floating in mid-table obscurity for all that long.

It'll be interesting to see how Kimi fares against his more experienced teammate David Coulthard. Personally we'd love nothing more than for him to grab pole position in Australia whilst Coulthard qualifies about 8th but realistically that's not likely. Beating him over the course of the season by about ten points on the other hand looks a distinct possibility.

Not a contender just yet, but it would surprise no-one to see the baby-faced Finn winning once or twice.

Go Kimi!
