My journal entries only begin to describe my journey in Kenya, words and photos can not capture the true experience...

10:00pm     Today was quite busy and I am quite exhausted.  School, lunch, clinic.  Mrs. George told me how sad she would be when I left, I wanted to cry.  I've really seen a change with 2 teachers instead of 1 for the hundred children.  You can also tell that the children love having a muzungu teacher, they want to mimic everything I do, but that also means that they listen and want to pay attention to me.  Many kids see me on the street and run up to me saying "teacher, teacher!"  I've been able to remember a lot of names too and they love it.  School's done on August 3 and I leave on the 5th, so I'm happy I don't have to leave in the middle of the term.

My Health Status: good.  Think I'm actually gaining weight, too many carbs.  Had a stuffy nose, probably from inhaling a lot of dust from the roads and the smoke from the burning garbage.
