Well it's been almost a week since I last blogged. I'm sorry it's been so long, but it has been a crazy week. Last Sunday I went with the teachers to a English speaking church about 20 minutes away. It was nice to be able to talk with other english speaking people and it was also nice to be able to understand the message being taught. After the service we went and ate at a mexican resturant. This resturant also served italian and american food. It was really good, I ate chicken alfredo. If I go again I will probably actually have some mexican food. Later that afternoon some of the teachers went to see Indiana Jones. It was cool seeing the movie at a Thai theater:)

Monday we started teacher orientation. During the day they just bombarded us with good information that we need to know before we teach. Then on Wednesday we had a scavengerhunt. We were grouped then we had to travel through Bangkok with a returning teacher and take pictures of certain things. We all eventualy met up at a resturant and had dinner together. It was actually fun!

Finaly, Friday night some of the teachers went bowling at the mall! There were about 15 of us and non of us were really good:) But we all had fun trying and just bonding! I only scored a 75 but I had a good time.

Something interesting that I did this week was buy a cell phone. I thought my American phone would work here but it is locked by my cell phone company so I figured it would be better and possibly cheaper to buy a phone and sim card here. it's actually really cheap to call locally and I can make international calls. I believe every incoming call for me is free even from America, and I can call for only a few cents a minute. So now I have a Thai bank account and a Thai cell phone..i'm kinda fitting in:)

Well I start teaching on Monday the 16th. I found out my schedule yesterday. It's not too bad..II have classes until around 12 everyday, then I have lunch, then nice break right after lunch and I finish up the day with an afternoon class.
