So yesterday(for me) some friends and I went on a little adventure to the Nonthaburi pier which is a good walk from our school. I was happy to get away for a little bit but then we saw that there was a boat taxi getting ready to leave. We all were up for an adventure so we decided to take the taxi and just ride it till we felt like getting of then take another one back. This was really fun. There is a river that runs right through Bangkok and Thai's utilize it for transportation. It was really cheap about 50 cents one way. So we hopped on and just rode it for about half an hour and saw the sites like a tour:) We decided to get off once we saw the Grand Palace. So we got off and walked along the Grand Palace where past kings would live now it's a place people can tour, some political things might take place there but I'm not sure...it is a huge ornate set of building and temples. With a huge white wall surrounding it. So we just walked along the wall for a little while then took another boat taxi back to Nonthauri pier. We did a lot of walking and it was a really hot sunny day so we were all really tired afterward. Fortunately I put some sunscreen on at the begginning of the day so I didnt get burnt.
