Yeah, I know, I havent updated my blog in more than a week. But I've been busy with a project. It's a capelet, that just comes over the shoulder and down the arm a little bit to chase away the chill. It is made from some alpaca I got on ebay at a good price about a year & 1/2 ago. Nice stuff, very soft. :} I washed it and it is blocking and drying now. Instead of a garter stitch border on the front edge and collar, I used, yep - the seed stitch. I might make another one of these after I finish Lena's blanket and use the fan & feather stitch for the lace border. :} It was a fairly easy pattern and worked up pretty fast and I can always make it a bit longer if I want.
The pattern is at this link: http://web.archive.org/web/20060208105723/spunmag.com/article/050410vintageca...
See I told you, knitters are not satisfied working on just one project, this alpaca yarn was screaming at me that it wanted to be this capelet while I was working on the blanket and like a good knitter I couldnt resist the "call of the yarn". Now I will get back to the blanket and try to finish it this week end. I know, I know, yeah right :P.
