DD's teacher came up with a very cute nickname for her, involving her name and rhyming it with a bakery confection. (To protect privacy, I'll leave it up to your imagination, or you can e-mail me). I heard her called this a few times, and thought it was adorable, although we don't have a nickname for her.
Last weekend, DD told me, out of the blue, that she didn't like it when teacher called her that. Poor thing, I proceeded to use the nickname (jokingly) with her the next day. Monday, I wrote a note, and the teacher promised DD she'll stop. Although, the name is soooo cute, I think she might have trouble stopping herself.
DD was happy to be back to school, especially to hand out her long-awaited valentines. I had dressed her in all red Monday, since that's what she wanted for Valentine's, and I figured, since they were snowed out or on vacation since 2/13, they would exchange cards. I figured wrong...they didn't exchange until Wednesday, with DD dressed in a purple shirt & jeans.
She's mad at me.
Picture is from Grammie...DD enjoyed playing makeup and putting on some earrings. I've had to sit for many applications of blush since we've returned.
