We had a terrible Saturday. I woke up early, but had such a headache, I couldn't even drink coffee (gasp!) I spent a lot of time with my eyes shut, either napping or just trying to avoid the pain that came with any talking (mine or others') or moving. Fortunately, DH took over most of the care for DD and left the house for a while so I could rest. And I did...and did...and did. Finally, by the time DH left for work, I had recovered enough that I could move and talk, but I was still off (and I still am, a bit).
DD is looking forward to going back to school on Monday. She's also looking forward to getting the present DH promised...a backyard plaything (we don't know what yet) like the neighbor's, to be purchased with the money we'll save on diapers once she doesn't need them anymore. I'm hoping that comes soon! I saw a playhouse yesterday at
Christmas Tree Shops that may fill the bill. When I told DD the name of the store we were entering, she was expecting to see Santa there, and that he would give her presents. DH and DD are Jewish, so I struggled to explain some of the religious basics to her; I don't know how well that got through.
At least I was able to down some coffee this a.m. Let's hope this is a better day!
