DD slept in a bit after last night's fireworks. When I said it was the first day of school, the answer was, "No - tomorrow." I was a bit worried, but she started to get excited and was happy in the car going there. Before leaving we read 2 books for her library project (10 books in a week wins a prize).

DD was the first one in her class to arrive. While waiting for the room to open, we met one of the boys in her class. DD had a Dora backpack, he had Diego! She was upset only when she couldn't play with the toys in the classroom - she didn't even seem to notice us leaving!

When it was time to go, she complained that she wanted to ride the bus - like the other kids. Maybe we'll have to sign her up for bus transport, but I don't think I'm ready for that yet!
