While DD was enjoying her new house, I decided to clean up the lawnmower and do other outside stuff before the real cold hits.  We're able to trust DD to a great extent when it comes to staying on the lawn and in our general area while we're trying to do outside chores.   She even went in & out of the house on her own once while I was working on the mower (a neighbor was in front of his house, and could see her where I could not, and I knew he wouldn't let her get into trouble).

DD helped me clean the leaves out of our driveway and we also swept the neighbor's front steps & walk.  (Minor favor compared to use of the pickup!)   I got the mower into the position I had reserved for it in the garage - now I can start parking inside for the winter.  Snow is in the forecast for this week, although temps are not supposed to get lower than 33 - I don't understand that!  We had our first frost last week, so snow can't be too far off.
