I have been on the lookout for a Little Tikes type of outdoor playhouse for DD for months.  These run $150 + in the store, so, of course, I was looking for one at garage sales, in classified ads, etc.  Fortunately, with online ads, I can search for these items as keywords to target my search.  Over the last few months, we have picked up a lot of inexpensive clothes, but no luck with houses.

Thursday, I found an ad for a Saturday only sale...good b/c sales that start on Fridays are picked over before I get to them on Saturday.  They had a late start (10), and a playhouse was listed, along with an address a short distance from here.  So, my plan was to be there at 10, if not a little sooner.  I had even considered going by early.

Plans were crushed when a strange dog came upon the 2 of us, with our dog, walking at 8:50 a.m.  I was afraid at first, and sent DD back to our house ahead of me (I have never done that before).  Over the course of the next hour, I managed to catch the dog (not an easy task, he is a young thing), find his owner (without the benefit of ID tags), and get him home.  By the time I got to the garage sale, it was 10:40.  I almost decided not to go, since I thought the playhouse would be long gone.

Fortunately, it was still there, marked at $45.  After a brief discussion about how to get this thing disassembled or whether it could be delivered, I was offered a price of $30 if I could transport it.  Hmmmmm....

...to the rescue, my neighbors with a pickup (happens to be DD's babysitter, too).  They drove with us back to the garage sale, loaded it with me, and helped me put it on the property.  It looks great, and DD is thrilled!
