Happy Independence Day. DD enjoys waving a small flag saying "USA! USA!" We're enjoying the long weekend (thanks, work, for deciding to close yesterday - Yipee!)!

We're looking forward to DD's first day of preschool tomorrow. Although DD will miss all her dear friends in playgroup, as well as her teachers there and at home, she's sure to enjoy this new experience.

This morning, DD and I "played tennis" at a local park. No ball, no racquets, just our imagination. I noticed there was a wall (for handball, I guess), that may work for practicing with a tennis racquet. Luckily, it's close to home. As an added bonus, it has fenced in fields - our dog can go off leash safely (even though that use is not officially sanctioned by the park, we're always careful to clean up and avoid annoying others). We may end up going there often. Remind me to post pics of our pets.
