Preschool & Beyond!
Family life
Wednesday

Wednesday was a strange day.  It was the last day of my vacation from work, but we had no particular plans.  DD went to preschool, and I decided to take the opportunity to observe her in action, so I went to the school about 45 minutes before the end of the day.  Feeling nostalgic, I had walked to the school, intending to walk home with her at the end of the day (she normally takes the bus).  I asked her if she wanted to walk or take the bus, and she said, "walk."  Immediately after we told the bus aide to proceed without her (i.e. after it was too late to change our minds), she started to backtrack, and wanted to ride.  Oh well.  At least, according to her teacher and her behavior when I was there, she appreciated the visit.

I had a whiny, tired child on my hands for the .25 mile walk.  I ended up with her on my shoulders for part of the way.

I wasn't feeling well all day.  Image  After school, I tried to rest, but DD kept waking me up periodically to play.  I kept getting up long enough to change the channel, and was very glad there were a few snacks she could reach on her own.  At least I'm better now.

We're looking forward to a bunch of events this weekend...one might involve Dora the Explorer
