We had a nice note from DD's teacher, complimenting her observation.  DD asked the teacher, "where's 'Bill?'"  'Bill' happens to attend schools M-W-F only; DD asked about him on a Thursday.  According to the note, most of the kids who attend every day don't notice the absence of the M-W-F kids.
