The woman who will become DD's regular babysitter next week told DH that she would have DD fully potty trained by the end of the first week. DH had started the subject, commenting about how difficult a time we have had with DD, so it was certainly intended to be helpful, but it turned out sparking DH to ramp up his efforts. On Thursday, he decided to focus on that task, in anticipation of starting his new job on Monday.
As I'm writing this, DD has been out of diapers, with no accidents, since Thursday morning. At night, she wears a diaper, but it has been dry 2 of the 3 nights. We were particularly nervous about Friday, when DH had some doctor's appointments, and planned to put her in a pull-up for the outing (who knew if it would take 30 minutes or 3 hours), but she refused and did well!
Yesterday, DD told Grammie she was going to send all her diapers to cousin E (1 year old) with the mailman.
In other news, I've come down with a cold. Depending on your perspective, it's either fortunate or not that I was just starting the cold Thursday & Friday, but feel completely wiped out over the weekend. I hope to feel better before work tomorrow. DH is starting to have symptoms.
